Privacy Policy
Last updated August 4, 2026
Mold Matters ("we") publishes educational information about hazardous indoor mold and mycotoxin exposure. This policy explains what information this website collects, why, and what you can do about it. It covers this website only — it does not cover Dr. Grant's medical practice, which handles patient information under separate policies and applicable medical privacy law.
Information you give us
The only information we ask for is what you enter into the contact form: your name, your email address, the subject you select, and the message you write. We use it to respond to your inquiry and nothing else. You are not required to use the form — you can email us directly at the address below.
The contact form is powered by Google Forms, and submissions are stored in a Google spreadsheet that we control. Google processes this data as our service provider under its own privacy terms.
Information collected automatically
Our host, Vercel, records standard server logs when you load a page, including your IP address, browser type, and the pages requested. We also use Vercel Analytics to count page views and referrers. Vercel Analytics is aggregate and does not use cookies or track you across other websites.
This site loads its typefaces from Google Fonts, which means your browser contacts Google's servers and your IP address is visible to Google when a page loads.
Cookies
This site does not set advertising or tracking cookies of its own, and there is no advertising network on it.
How we use your information
We use what you send us to reply to you, and to keep a record of the correspondence. We do not sell your information, we do not share it with advertisers, and we do not add you to a marketing list without your asking.
How long we keep it
We keep contact-form submissions for as long as needed to handle your inquiry and to keep a reasonable record of it. You can ask us to delete yours at any time.
Your rights
You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to the address below and we will respond.
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have rights under the GDPR including access, correction, erasure, restriction, portability, and the right to object, as well as the right to complain to your national data protection authority. If you are a California resident, you have rights under the CCPA/CPRA including the right to know what we collect and the right to request deletion. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under California law.
Links to other sites
This site links to other websites, including Amazon, where Dr. Grant's books are sold. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of sites we link to, and we encourage you to read their policies.
Children
This site is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Not medical advice
The content on this site is educational and does not constitute medical advice. Reading it or contacting us through it does not create a doctor-patient relationship. If you are concerned about your health, consult a qualified clinician.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we will update the date shown at the top of this page.
